Hey guys, this is a query to any of the indie designers who attend local Markets. I live in Queensland and have to organise 'Stall Holders' insurance to attend some of the larger markets in my area, and I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the best insurance company to deal with, preferably someone in Queensland? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I didn't even know about stall holders insurance... what exactly would that cover?

It's just a fancy way of saying public liability insurance (to my knowledge) so if someone comes over to your stall and trips over a tent peg, breaks their ankle. You have some sort of coverage. It also covers your products to some extent, I thinks. Seems insane, but this is crazy age we live in!

Hi Emmarose,
The best one I have found is artworkers alliance (www.artworkers.org). They are based in Qld but offer insurance Australia-wide. I think its $195 per annum which gives you public liability insurance to $10m + you get to join artworkers who offer great support, lots of benefits and stuff. I'm in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, but joined Artworkers when I lived in Brisbane. I still find them quite handy from down here as they help with grant information, etc...
Go for it!

Thanks for your help guys!
I think Elders Insurance have a pretty good rate as well. And you can pay it monthly as well.
