Hello crafty peeps!
Heres hoping you all had a wonderful xmas day!
Ours was very quite, as planned because I'm just not up to all the work involved but our highlight of the day was a visit from the grandies (8 months and 2 years old)and little Ashleigh and I did some colouring in together and Baby Adam mushed biscuits into the cavemans T shirt!
What was your highlight of the day?

Hi Nita!
For us it was family and food everywhere! Lots of fun and we very wisely did Kris Kringle with everyone getting 1 good pressie - a must to repeat for next year as we all agreed it took the stress out of Chritmas and saved us all a packet!
That is except for my daughter (nearly 2) who got lots of good quality, thoughtful pressies!
Merry Chritmas all!

My Christmas started on Christmas Eve this year as my in-laws have decided to use that date from now on for Christmas celebrations, to take the stress out of Christmas and reduce double ups on Christmas Day. My nieces and nephew seem to have the most fun there. Then my husband and I spent a quiet Christmas morning together, before going to my parent's place to see the other side for desserts. I now have to prepare a belated Christmas get together with friends for tomorrow evening, so hopefully that will be a hit :D

I would like to hear all those experiences, good or bad, how was your Christmas? Anything unexpected? A gift that got you out of the blue? Maybe a family member that came and was not expected or you didnt see him or her for a long time?
It is always beautiful to know how people spend Christmas, let give a step and share our experiences. If it was not a good experience, then still share it because from that we learned things that we should do or not do.
For example, my Christmas was not as I expected. Besides no having family at the moment in the U.S. which is already sad enough, I decided to spend Christmas with my roomate's family. The sensation of not receiving a gift can kill you in a Christmas reunion if you are not strong enough. I am strong, so I watched how everybody got called in my roomate's family and got a gift. I just enjoyed the moment with them. But, the problem was, that my roomate's family (uncle side) was too big to a point that my roomate and I were two more people in the reunion. While I am used to the warm of a short family in which everybody shares with everybody or talk with everybody, this one was like too many people and not talkative people. It didnt feel good. After only 1 hours after the hug, we left the scene to return home.
Well, this is another Christmas gone and not the last one I hope, so it will be remembered in the collection of my memories.
So, how was your Christmas?

I had a lovely xmas with loads of family, some days at Phillip Island and a week at a farm past Colac in Victoria. My top presie was some light blue gumboots with ladybirds on them - now all i need are some puddles!

Lovely and quiet xmas this year with my immediate family, parents, sister and her partner and our 2 dogs. Though my sister's dog, tiny chiwahwah loves to pick a fight and my poor Lizzie, Golden Retriever is so placid.
I was very happy not to cook, had lots of relatives down last year and I cooked for the lot. I was so happy to have a break.
My highlight of the week was watching the New Years Day Concert in Vienna on SBS. I watch it & record it every year makes me miss Vienna :(
