Hi everyone, keep coming across this problem. People buy more than one item and I am happy to combine postage and charge the single cost of postage for initial item. In my listing I have said for example $5 plus $0 for extra items and then when they buy two, the invoice goes out as $10 postage instead of $5. Am I doing something wrong and can I change an invoice after it has been sent for them to pay by paypal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this keeps cropping up and am sure there must be a simple solution that I'm not seeing!!!

Cheers

I'm fairly certain that when you leave the additional postage as $0.00 - that it actually charges the full amount again. I'd just type in something small like $0.10 in the additional postage box - to give it a whirl?

Oh and I don't think you can change an invoice - but you can certainly refund money via Paypal - I've had to do this before, just be mindful that any refunds, may be held for 2 - 3 days by Paypal before being received back into the buyers account...

Thanks Sophie,

great advice, the only other thing you may know is, when you pay paypal, will it only allow you to pay the amount on the invoice or could I just tell the buyer to pay $5 less?
By the way, your store is gorgeous, really beautiful and unique jewellery.
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi Amanda,

Yes, you need to add an amount in the additional item field and as Sophie suggested 10c would work.

To change an invoice, log in to your account
Under Invoices > Sales
Find the order and click edit.
Here you can add or delete money from the invoice

Then you can email the buyer the new invoice.

The buyer can simply log in to their account and go to Invoices > Purchase, find your order and click the checkout button (paypal).

Thanks
Bec

Unreal Bec, have just been in and fixed it! Embarassed to say I had never been into that section and now I know it's there it will be a great tool to keep better track of where I'm up to with my orders.
Thanks so much for your expert help, have a good one
