I've just noticed that my total number of sales has dropped to 82 when it was sitting at 108 last week.
I was quite proud that I'd made over 100 sales :D here on madeit and I'm just wondering if there has been a glitch somewhere over the site to have had this happen?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Firstly, congrats on your number of sales being just over or just under the 100 mark, well done!:) I'm curious, do you not track the items you list? Keeping track of listings via an excel document might be the way to go. Just a thought. I use an excel doc to work out my pricing, but I also mark 'SOLD' beside the ones that have new owners. My number is much smaller, but we all start somewhere. Hope the issue is quickly resolved.

Hi there
we have been getting a few messages about this and i have to admit
that it was my fault.
i ran a database clean up process last week that i should not of.
We used to run it when we first upgraded the site a couple years ago.
I didnt realise that Bec no longer used it for this very reason.
I was working on the site for bec the other day and i thought i was doing her a favour but i actually didnt.
what has happened is that all really old sales have been archived.
i am trying to get them back or at least get the sales counts back.
So i have to put my hand up and say it was me. it will definately not happen again
but i am working on fixing it now.
im very sorry about that:o

yeah bec wasnt very happy but i think she can see my intentions were good.
i should of realised that if she hadnt run it for so long then there is probably a reason...
Late last week we reinstated the sales numbers that were deleted on your feedback page. You should see that your sales are now higher.
Sorry for the delay in getting this issue fixed, we were dealing with the server.
Thanks
Bec

Just wondering how exactly you set up an excel document to track this type of thing, my sale count is very low but i think this is a good idea to track the items you have an haven't sold, so how would you do this?
