Just wanted to say hi and hope you're settling in okay in beautiful Yamba, you lucky ducks.

How's it going with the dial up, can't imagine how difficult that must be!

I'm really enjoying the site and getting to know how it all works.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your messages. Lucky dial-up was just temporary, we are now on super fast broadband. We had a lot of trouble getting our phone connected, made the mistake of not going with the national carrier.. It's all good how.

Yamba is great, a lot smaller than Sydney but very beautiful. When I get around to it I should take some pics of the area. It's a really beautiful town with beautiful beaches and a big river (Clarence River). The area is know for it's cane fields so everywhere you drive there are green fields of cane. Yamba is positioned between Ballina & Coffs Harbour.

It's great to be out of the hustle and bustle and finally have some space. And we can see the stars at night..

Just searched google and Yamba is aboriginal for “honeyant”. Yes, there is a children's program called Yamba.

Great to see you guys around the forum, keep up the good work.

And welcome...

Thanks
Bec

wow, that sounds really beautiful. I have always wondered what it would be like to live in a small town. I remember when I lived in Greece for five months, the villages were so peaceful and serene. I loved being able to see the stars at night... and taking long walks through open fields of daisies... I miss that. You feel so much more connected to nature when you're away from the hustle and bustle of the city. But I don't know how long I could last not being within driving distance of the city, or more importantly - Chadstone (the fashion capital!)
