Another newbie, that's me!

Hi All,

My name is Sue and I'm fairly new on madeit with my shop selling handmade teddy bears, and I must say so far I'm loving it. I could spend hours looking at all of the shops and see the talent we have in this country. I'm looking forward to learning so much more from reading the forums and if anyone out there has any advice for my shop please feel free to let me know. What should I be doing/ promoting where/ getting my name out there.

I love making my bears; the shop isn't well stocked so far as I have a few custom orders requested that are being completed but if anyone has any ideas they could pass on to me that would be fab. Maybe there is a forum thread that would help? Maybe one for bear lovers or collectables?

Looking forward to hearing back and checking out all of your shops.

Thanks for the warm welcome, it's much appreciated. Wow, I am amazed at what you can both do with felt. Where do you go for your ideas?! And where can you buy the vast colours that the felt comes in? I've been meaning to have a play with some felt myself to make little decorations (flowers?) for my bears ears. You guys have inspired me. Is there a shop on-line that you go to? Spotlight doesn't seem to have a fantastic range at their stores. Will go and have a look anyway.

Thankyou Merlene! Adore making them too. And like all other crafters, I'd love to have more hours in the day to spend on them. Too many distractions...like children and part time work!

I think most shops I click on here onmadeit.com, I've managed to say 'Wow!' over something they are selling. You are right, we are certainly a creative bunch. I do love your boys t-shirts with the ties on them, how clever are you! I think my son would like them...can you make a size 14 t-shirt at all? Bit bigger than your usual stock.
