Hi
Just wondering if anyone has a Big Shot or a Cricut? I'm in the market for a machine to help me cut fabric and I really don't know which of these would be best.
I need to make multiple squares and circles and some are quite small eg. 1" square. I'm not really sure if either machine can do this - but just thought i'd ask and see positive or negative thoughts on either.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Melis,
I have a Bigshot and use it to cut both fabric and wool felt. It has cut both beautifully but I will mention that the only fabric I have cut with it so far is cotton. I guess it depends on dies as well. I use mostly Sizzix, Spellbinders and MFT (My Favourite Things) and they all cut well so far.
I hope this helps.

Hi Rhonda
Thank you so much for replying! I am really confused which to purchase - but the Bigshot was top of the list. What i need is to be able to cut multiple circles or squares of the same size. I'm not even sure if I can get the dies i need. It's a whole new world!
Thank you again for your response, more to think about.

Hi Melis,
I know of a little online shop having a sale on at the moment, and you can get nestability dies at 45% off. They have circles and squares as well as others, so if you'd like to know the web address, email me on admin@pixeladventures.net and I will let you know the address. I just would not rather advertise it in here for obvious reasons.

The Big Shot is good but you are limited by the dies you have. Nestabilities will cut fabric but they are not as good as Sizzix dies. Especially if you want to cut muliple layers of fabric at the same time. What you really need is either a Silhouette or an Accuquilt Go Cutter. Just google them.
