I am addicted to it lately - it's getting scarey.

I like it with...

currants (put in same time as oats so they get fat and squidgy) and maple syrup
flaked almonds and honey
banana and honey

Have you got any other ideas so I can broaden my experience?

Ahh, porrridge makes me feel sick, when I eat it I start to feel all queesy and almost vomit. It is gross! I always eat oats for b'fast on docs orders (hypoglycaemia) and I had to give away the porridge as I could barely eat any without almost refunding it. Now I have museli with all bran. Yummers.

Isn't porridge hot oats???

Love the idea of cinnamon and apple... mmm...

I usually have GF muesli that I make myself and add fresh blueberries and nuts.

Mmmmm porridge! Love it, but it's rice porridge for me and I'm a purist and only like it plain. Can't stand dried fruit! Would like it with cinnamon, but those kind of things tend to make me itchy...

I love porridge. Try it with puree fruit on top. Apple and pear both work well.

I don't eat it much but when I do I put a handful of those frozen berries in it towards the end. And I stir in a hanful of protein powder as well. Someone once told me to replace the milk or water you use with apple juice and that was nice.

Ohh they all sound so good. I made my porridge this morning too quickly, should have logged on first and checked out these recipe ideas! :)

i should have checked this morning as well! I have porridge about once a week, but just with milk and way to much brown sugar. Yum! I must try some of the fruit suggestions. Thanks!

Sliced fresh apple. The best. I have it on muesli, and every once in awhile branch across into sliced fresh apple on porridge. Mmm.

Yum porridge! Can only eat it in cold weather though, can't even try in summer. I love it with sultanas, cinnamon, a dollop of cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar, and usually some linseeds- with oats, great for joints and muscles- still getting fit again after bub number two and trying to strengthen ligaments etc. It works!
