At 35 weeks pregnant (with baby number 4) I have been approached by another local designer to go into a partnership to create a shop from home - party plan style gig showcasing our handmade products. I know it would give myself and Kylie a great boost to have all you wonderful creative types stop by our new blog and share some tips and encouragement! www.ourcubbyhouse.blogspot.com - see you there:)

Hey Emma, good luck with your new venture.
As for tips I think at this stage being able to offer a range of price points because people are prob being super sensitive about the economy.
Good luck!:) I'm off to check your blog, good luck with baby No. 4 too, how exciting!

Thanks Simmone, our price points will start from around $10 up to $50, so hopefully, we are in with a good chance.
Thanks too Leah, we are nervous, but very excited at the thought or this challenge.

Have you considered getting stuff on consignment from other sellers of baby stuff...you could work out a retail and a wholesale price in advance and rather than buy straight out offer consignment...Then you would have a larger range of products to offer your mums...Also maybe look at having a small range of things for mums that relate to babies..ie nursing pads that are handmade...
And yes good luck with baby no. 4...:)

Thanks for your encouragement regarding our cubbyhouse, we are excited and can't wait to hold our first demonstration! Will have to remember to send a link to the forum when it eventually all kicks off. So much to plan, had a photoshoot on Monday with our toddlers to show off some outfits, and our photographer is another local WAHM. It's all about supporting and showcasing ourselves and other local crafters, and where we can, local WAHM's.
Oh wow Fantastic, good luck and wish you all the best with your new business and baby:)
